Sales Development Representative

PayEm is a global procurement and spend management platform that automates finance processes from request to reconciliation. By reducing friction and tedious tasks for finance teams, our clients increase productivity, reduce risk and lower operating costs to contribute to business growth. PayEm is 3 years old and has over 150 customers and has paid suppliers and employees all over the world.

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative for North America.  This role is remote and will report to sales but work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer.  The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for hunting for leads, qualifying, and building sales opportunities for the team. We are looking for a self-motivated teammate with high social intelligence and a natural inclination for selling. The SDR will act as the initial point of contact while making a business impact through lead generation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of customer-facing and direct sales/SDR experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills and energetic phone presence
  • Dedicated to tracking and improving performance and efficiency on a daily basis
  • Curious about understanding business challenges
  • High level of comfort with sales, prospecting and marketing tools & processes
  • Entrepreneurship: a self-starter who has a high sense of urgency and can work within undefined processes
  • CRM experience (preferably Salesforce & HubSpot)
  • Proven track of success over the phone

ABOUT THE ROLE

Source new sales opportunities through inbound qualification and outbound outreach

  • Qualify prospects through consultative selling while leveraging EPIC criteria
  • Grow top of sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaigns
  • Research companies and add prospects to our outbound list
  • Maintain accurate client relationship data within Salesforce
  • Be in charge of a list of targeted accounts
  • Become an expert at using lead generation tools (OutReach) to generate lists of target prospect accounts
  • Qualify prospects based on their current business challenges and needs using targeted and relevant questions
  • Schedule discovery calls for our inside sales team
  • Be proficient at using a sales development platform to execute the outreach process consisting of phone, email, and social touches
  • Meet or exceed qualified lead/demos quota every month
  • Strive to continuously improve your sales development process and demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices
